The Facilities Committee is responsible for overseeing the church buildings, grounds, and other property. A Ruling Elder chairs the committee that has about six members who are interested in faithfully caring for our facilities.
Currently Valley has three rental houses on Cedar Street (to our immediate south). We engage a property management company to ensure the properties and our tenants receive professional attention. These are key properties that will be part of the future vision for Valley.
Church Facility Use
Our church building is an excellent facility that is available for a number of community uses including weddings, meetings and other events. The facility includes:
- Full size gymnasium
- Professional kitchen facility
- Meeting rooms
Scheduling an Event
Valley Community Presbyterian Church offers its facilities to outside groups for meetings or events compatible to our mission. Use of the building is not available to for-profit or fund-raising organizations or any other group whose purpose is not compatible with the church's mission and goals. All building use and scheduling is by authority of the Session (our church governing board) as delegated to the Church Administration Staff. All user groups are expected to provide for their own set-up and take-down needs. Please contact the church office, 503.292.3537, or fill out a Room Request form and the Permission to Use the Premises form if you are interested in holding a meeting or event at Valley.
