Session

The Session is made up of Ruling Elders and Teaching Elders.
Ruling Elders are chosen by the people. Together with Teaching Elders (pastors), they exercise leadership, government, and discipline and have responsibilities for the life of Valley Community Presbyterian Church. Elders serve on the Session of the church for 3-year terms. Ruling Elders are commissioned to strengthen and nurture the faith and life of the congregation committed to their charge. This includes encouraging the people in the worship and service of God, equipping and renewing the people for their tasks within the church and for their mission in the world, visiting and caring for the people, and assisting in worship leadership and teaching.
