Prayer Shawl Ministry

Valley has a very active Prayer Shawl Ministry. Since April, 2005, Valley's Prayer Shawl ministry has "gifted" with prayer more than 1,000 hand knit or crocheted Prayer Shawls for encouragement to church members, friends in our community, and to friends in Arizona, California, Canada, Michigan, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Louisiana. The response from everyone has been heartwarming. The notes are very gratifying and a highlight of the monthly meetings. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month, one at 2:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room as well as via Zoom. Ruthann Marquis leads the knitters. New knitters are always welcome to join the group meetings. Suggestions for recipients and donations are always welcome too!

Holy Nine Patch Quilters

The Holy Nine Patch Quilters work several months each year to "surprise" our High School Graduates each May with a beautiful handmade quilt. The quilters work hard, but enjoy fellowship time as they make plans and tie the quilts together. Ruthann Marquis leads this group. If you are interested in joining this group, call the church office for more information. The group typically works January through May.

Friday Book Group

On the 4^th Friday of each month, a group meets in the Fireside Room to discuss a book and share in fellowship. Remember to bring your own coffee at 10:00 a.m. in the Fireside Room. All are invited to come and share in what is always a lively discussion.
