Teacher of vocal, instrumental and electronic music at Oregon Episcopal School for 13 years, Adam earned his
Bachelor Degree in music from Pacific University in Forest Grove in 1993 and a Masters of Music in conducting from Portland State University in 2006.

He sings and is chorus master, conducting rehearsals and some performances with Capella Romana (since 1996) and the Portland Baroque Orchestra Chorus (since 1997). Adam has experience composing and in recording, most notably with the Oregon Catholic Press, since 1993. He has been composer-inresidence at the Oregon Bach Festival, Eugene, and has been commissioned for numerous choral works that have premiered in the Pacific Northwest, for groups such as St. Mark’s Anglican Church choir, Portland Symphonic Quartet, Washington County Chorale, and Portland State University Men’s Chorus.

His continuing education has included various choral conducting workshops, and Adam cites “great teachers” for the skills he has developed. Among his instructors was David Jimerson. His family includes his wife, Wendy and twins Ella and Grayson, age 4 ½. Wendy and Adam are dorm parents at OES and both participate in the weekly chapel services on campus. Adam is a graduate of Milwaukie High School.

He enjoys golf, basketball, and beach with his family. Adam says, “I am glad to be part of Valley Community. My family and I are looking forward to music and worship with our new church family.”
