Kay Hope Gold, Director of Children’s Ministry
Kay Hope Gold, the part-time Director of Children’s Ministry, has been a member of Valley for many years. She has been a member of choir, a Deacon, and a member of the church nominating committee. Recently retired from the travel and airline industry, Kay is very pleased to now be working with children in Christian Education.
After her early years in Ohio, Kay grew up in Portland and San Francisco. Richard and Kay have three children and eight grandchildren, ages three months to 23. They both love to travel, and Kay also enjoys sewing, music, and theater. |

Jenny Pratt, Interim High School Director
Jenny and her husband Steve were part of the Valley youth program before Jenny left for her seminary education at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. She served for 10 years in youth ministry in Arcadia, California. She and Steve, along with their children, Addy and Zeph, also served in a Mexican border ministry before returning to Portland. |

Karen Yakymi, Interim Middle School Director
Karen has been a member and volunteer at Valley for 28 years and enjoys working with the youth. She and her husband of 29 years, Larry, have two children. Their daughter Aly, son-in-law Jeremy, and three year old grandson welcomed a new addition, a girl, in November. Their son, Alex, is attending the University of North Dakota. Karen, a retired flight attendant after 28 years with Delta Airlines, enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
