We are called, and we have committed:
to care for our children and youth, not only telling them of the love of God but also showing them.

The Christian Nurture Committees work with the whole congregation to honor the baptismal vows we make to our children. Together, the Christian Nurture Committees for Children and Youth created this mission statement in August 2011:

Using Christ's love as our example, we seek to
INSPIRE, CELEBRATE, and EQUIP children and youth
as together we explore and live out our relationship with God.

We hope to INSPIRE young people from the nursery through high school to know God's love and presence, to nurture a relationship with God, and to follow Christ in their everyday lives. We hope to CELEBRATE young people and the gifts they bring to our whole congregation. We desire to teach, nurture, and EQUIP our children and youth for lives of service in Christ's name. We recognize that Christ is our example as we nurture our youth, and we study and learn alongside them as we all journey together.
