All youth in 6^th-12^th grades are welcome!

Using Christ's love as our example, we seek to
INSPIRE, CELEBRATE, and EQUIP children and youth
as together we explore and live out our relationship with God.

Youth are an incredibly valuable part of our church family. We encourage 6th-12th graders to participate in all aspects of church life! ALL youth (members or non-members) are invited to participate in ANY of Valley's youth activities and programs.

Weekly Schedule

*September through May

SUNDAYS
10:00-11:00 a.m. Worship with the congregation, Sanctuary + Youth Bible Study at 10:20, Youth House

*Youth may choose to sit in the balcony or help with the Sunday Funday kids following Time With the Young Church.

11:00-11:45 a.m. Coffee Fellowship + SCRIP Sales, Davis Hall/Gym

5:00-6:00 p.m. Youth Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room

Youth Registration Forms

The Youth Registration Forms are kept on file for one year. All youth who are active participants in the Valley Youth programs are asked to submit a completed form. These forms are required for all off site events, including when youth ride in the Valley vans. Please drop off, hand in, or mail the form to Laurel Cluthe.

Youth House: 8050 SW Brentwood Street

We have our own house! The Valley Youth House is located next to the main church building, and is an important component of our youth ministry programs. It is a place for weekly youth meetings and events, as well as special events and worship throughout the year.

Youth Choirs

Youth are encouraged to participate in the Valley Youth Choir which practices on Sunday evenings and sings in worship occasionally throughout the year, including special music for Christmas and Youth Sunday. We also have a Youth Bell Choir, New Spirit Ringers, that rehearses on Sundays and plays throughout the year.

Amy Rheingans is the Director of our Youth Music programs. All youth in 6^th-12^th grades are welcome to participate in our youth music opportunities, regardless of prior experience.

Confirmation

Confirmation is the time when youth begin to claim the Christian faith as their own; it is a time to confirm or affirm the baptismal vows. A confirmation class for those in high school is offered every two years for youth who want to learn more about our denomination, our local church, and church membership. Youth who complete the class may choose to join the church as full members. We plan to offer the confirmation class again during the 201-17 school year.
